Sketchatron, 17th-21st April, 7.30pm, Canal Cafe Theatre, London

This week, Faversham takes to the stage every night for Sketchatron, 7.30pm, Tuesday through Saturday at one of our favourite London venues, the Canal Cafe Theatre, on the bank of a canal, near Warwick Avenue tube station. We're joined by the two excellent London-based sketch troupes, Canal Cafe favourites The Sunday Defensive and the rather well dressed Idiots of Ants. Doors are at 6.30pm, show at 7.30pm, each troupe gets 25 minutes, the Idiots followed by the Defensive followed by the Dreadfuls, and then we'll head downstairs to fashionably loiter around in the bar till late. With lots of brand new sketches, it should be really rather fun. To book tickets please call the Canal Cafe on 020 7289 6054 or email mail@canalcafetheatre.com.

"We could still see their campfires; and with Leighton's relief column at least three days away, we were forced to half our champagne rations..."

Well it really has been a most enjoyable week, in London. A stint at the reopening of the BBC Radio Theatre on Wednesday and an evening headlining at Big Chuckles in Little Venice on Sunday was topped off to perfection by a trip to the Zoo and the Sherlock Holmes museum, today. If that isn't an awesome time I don't want to know what is. Oh yeah, and Peter Crouch hit the perfect hat-trick against Arsenal. Sweet.
